Literature Text

Where snow had once lain joyous and white,
Now stayed a slush of blood and savagery.
The barbarians had come from the west,
Though we fought hard to keep them back.
Now it was all down to this city,
Which carries the name of our revered leader,
From halting their rape and slaughter.
With heavy armor and mighty birds of war did they come,
Which we could not resist for very long.
But the very earth itself heard our struggle,
And with a mighty gale, brought ice and frost down on the enemy.
In their conceited glory and revelry of carnage,
Like a wolf with no fur they did freeze.
While red does stain our ground,
Crimson flies straight and true in our skies.
Now, we will take the war to the monsters at our door,
And drive them back to their lair,
Perhaps even further than that!
For the will of the people drives our effort,
And with it we cannot,
Neigh,
We shall not fail.

Another beautiful piece. It really makes one proud to be Russian! The beautiful imagery and the overall wording and tone make it a masterpiece!
